There is only 1 thing I don't like about this game. There is one thing, and one thing only.
Say you have 2 water pokemon (the x's) using watergun and you have a geodude inbetween them (the u) and one right before it. So it looks like this. u x u x
What happens is that the 2 water pokemon attack the geodude. Only 1 water gun was needed to kill it, and yet, both attacked it. So that means that the one behind it could easily get passed. It would be nice if after the geodude was killed then the leftover watergun would automagically go to the next pokemon. This way you dont have a ton of wasted moves.

It sounds like a good idea, but it doesn't exactly make sense. Water gun is not a torpedo that follows the oppenets. (Though for some it acts like one.) Plus this would just make the game a bit easier which I don't think we need. (And if both water guns attacked it, how would the water gun also attack the other pokemon?)

It would be a neat feature, but considering the games already easy difficulty, not necessary.

well, idea is nice, and i don't think we need it, but i do often have problems with this target things... good example is this: normaly, when you put a graveler(and only graveler) with rock blast in vf2, he can solo a lane, but if you add one more pokemon, it often happens that graveler retargets for some reason, and than few of the pokemons escape(altough that wouldn't happen if there was only graveler)

The games easy if you grind, but its by no means easy by just going straight through without repeating levels. Cerulean is actually a nice challenge if you dont have a whole bunch of anti water pokemon. Thats the only real challenge ive had since my pokemon maxed out though. perhaps the game could even just calculate a kill shot BEFORE shooting, or anything like that. Its just annoying because it brings unnecessary complications to how you place things.
the water gun really DOES follow the creatures though....

it makes some sense but it could also make the game harder! I love hard games.

I prefer this to complicating it by having them target last/first/strongest/weakest ect. I think at least one of these 2 should be implemented as they are pretty basic td features though.

I have a different idea: What if we could manual aim? Pokemon would still pick their targets automatically, but you would be able to pick their target manually, if you wanted to.
If you ever played any WC3 TD, you know what i mean.

I just pictured a WMW of Pokemon on WC3...hahaha
I like manual targeting, but I don't know if it really fits with how the rest of the game is structured. Just seems weird to me.

just to explain to everyone else, automatic, but if you can pick 1 tower and choose its target.
Also, it would be nice if you could choose priority targets. I mean, pick nearest/farthest enemy, pick first/last enemy to enter in line of sight, etc...
(Picking types (this pokemon will try to attack water pokemon first) would be ridiculous, though)

Good news guys!

@gamejunkie86 - thanks! The way the tower aiming works is that they look at who came out of the gate first and is within their range. So if a slow pokemon like geodude comes out first he will get all the attention while a fast pokemon like pikachu will zoom by since he came out second.
In the near future I'm adding different targeting options that you can use. Like always hit the first one or the one with lowest health, etc."

i saw this thread and i couldnt help posting this... i suggested this to Sam a while ago and he replied. (blog comments) Anonymous said... It is not very productive when 2 one-hit-kill pokemon attack the same enemy. Suggestion: The ability to choose which enemies specific pokemon attack. Like setting one pokemon to attack "first" enemies and the pokemon across from it is set to attack "last" enemies. Other options could be to target "weak" or "strong" enemy pokemon. I think this would make gameplay much more efficient. -Tad May 5, 2011 12:04 AM Sam Otero said... Anon 8:55 - yea I did warn you guys... Anon 8:58 - Mt Moon 1 has pretty much all the mt moon pokemon in it, and there won't be a Route 4 east. Anon 9:01 - the previous blog post knows. Tad - gotcha. Anon 9:05 - they will have a full red life bar, they have a different color, and they have a shine effect. Anon 9:13 - odd I don't experience this.. what browser are you using? Sorry, but I don't see Sam's reply to your post. If you were anon 12:04, what did he say to you?
