I've caught 1 shiny in the wild, but I have like 6 from trading. Out of the 6 from trading, I believe only 1 or 2 are legitimate. Honestly though, not a big deal. Just a different sprite and a faster level up rate. +1

Shiny Pokemon represent racial diversity in the Pokemon world. That's why they're so rare.
No seriously, I honestly do not think people should be freaking out so much over a cloning glitch. There have been cloning glitches in every Pokemon game, and I'm most people took advantage of them at some point in their life or another. I wouldn't clone Pokemon, but I'm just saying, it shouldn't be cause for such widespread alarm, aside from the Pokemon that Sam gets paid for.

I personally like to think of it as this:
Sam runs a lemonade stand, where for you can have free samples, a glass, or very high-quality lemonade. What is happening is that many people are making their own, high quality, lemonade from the samples Sam is given, passing them off as Sam's high quality lemonade, and then giving to other people in exchange for their money (a.k.a: Pokemon). What's worse is that they are doing it in a place where Sam can see.
When it all factors down, it just ends up in the loss of a player's Pokemon and gain-age of a fake-Pokemon, and less incentive for people to buy the shiny-codes you can get with Ninja-ja.

^ which again results into less money for Sam, which results in him giving less priority to making games... AKA by-bye PTD!

I like your lemonade example and duping is a problem but it would be hard for sam to stop it
