First, I would like to say I really appreciate that you are giving us basically free shinies in the first place! The riddle contests are really fun and I love winning them.
However, I would like to suggest that in the future, maybe you should give out Shinies that are different from the Shinies that are already available.
I know that some people tried really hard to catch a Shiny Rattata and then the new contest completely made it not rare anymore.
Maybe future contest shinies should be Shinies that aren't already in the game (like Staryu, etc.) You can even make it so that's the only way to get the Shiny. If you do this, then people who worked hard for their Shiny Caterpie or Weedle won't lose all their rarity.

I like the idea. I don't go for shinies, I just get lucky and they come to me while playing, but still, it should be added.

Maby the shiny's should be something like Shiny Jynx? Which is not in the game.

I actually disagree. I personally think that shinnies should be limited to the most common Pokemon. If you make shiny Pokemon of rare Pokemon, it takes away from the Pokemon's value and catch factor. The same applies for Pokemon not yet in the game, it just decreases their rarity when the enter the game. Why do you think Sam has only used the blue/red neutral common Pokemon for shinnies? Its because they are the easiest to catch, making them not as rare when you do.
That's my two cents.

I like the free shiny's but they lose value, so how about sam makes it limeted to 1 use.

Yeah I don't understand the multiple use of Mystery Gift codes...but oh well. I also think they should be limited to common shinies, so they do not further dilute the value of rarer pokemon. Everyone was trading shiny abras for whole boxes of shinies. If shiny abra (a rare pokemon) was made into a mystery gift code, it wouldn't be traded again.

Nah, the idea is good but I think that the "can't be traded" thing should be limited to multiplayer only.

A single use per IP adress/PTD account mystery gift code for the weekly shiny hunts would be a really nice thing to have. I hate how Shiny Pidgey, Zubat, Geodude, and Jigglypuff (and soon charmander) are worth less than dirt now.

Just to let you know: Sam doesnt come on the forums often, its very rare that he does come on them And ill say it again SAM DOESNT choose the pokemon that are put up in the hunts, his sponsers do. Sam has to keep his sponsers happy so they will stay as his sponsers, and his sponsers pay him to do so.... And i agree with pokedex that the give-aways should only be common rare pokemon, like the pidgeys/jigglypuffs/ and what-not

I just hope that shiny Clefairy doesn't get given away, because even though they're rare and hard to find, it's more fun to find them yourself. I caught such a pokemon the other day and I was proud of this achievement, but if everyone can just get them without putting in any time or effort then what does my achievement mean to me? Nothing. Knowing my luck, it will probably be the next pokemon given away...
