Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that the abra only knows teleport? I mean, how the heck are you supposed to train that thing? And I was looking forward to an Alakazam

At least the clues this week, while spelled poorly, had enough elements of correctness that you could work out what you needed to do. The first clue from last weeks hunt was absolutely horrid the the point that you basicly had to make an educated guess, rather than figure it out directly. Thankfully the clue was changed to something reasonable after.
As for the shiny hunts themselves and the pokemon that results from it, apparently that's the sponsors choice, rather than sams, so it's probably someone at the Tower defence site that needs to be harassed. I'm pretty sure Sam himself would have preferred sticking to relatively common shinies, but with the rampant duping/hacking that's caused the market to be flooded with shiny abras even prior to the hunt, I guess it's not a huge deal.
Those who want personal achievement can still endeavour to capture a shiny abra in the wild, which is still quite difficult.

abra training tips You need: abra and a powerful pokemon (rock blast golem will do) 1. go to route 3 2. put abra in first slot 3. put powerful pokemon in last slot 4. sit back and watch abra gain exp Sigh.....i worked so hard for a wild shiny abra, and then this. it was my only hope for shiny mew
