Also I'd like to add, if someone's thread is locked because of someone else necroposting it and they want it unlocked they should be able to request for it to be unlocked. (If they have a good reason for it.)
MMaester or another staff member might have to make a guide for Necroposting. o3o

yea, an owner of a thread should be able to request his thread to be unlocked.

Oh of course. Our locks should never be permanent. Indefinitely locked, perhaps. But requests should always be open.

I think if you have nothing new to add the necroposting cut off should be 10 days. Although if you actually have something constructive to say and not useless it wouldn't count as necroposting. Also, I think sticky topics should be unable to be "necroposted" in. What I mean by that is if you post in a sticky topic after 10 days with no constructive response it would be okay. (Of course old sticky topics that are supposed to be replied to should be taken down if not replied to after a while.)

I think a week is plenty of time. I actually thought that was a tad long.
I also agree in regards to sticky threads.

I don't think a week is a tad long. What if the thread happens to be covered in dust and is forgotten and then someone finds it and just wants to post a bit about it. (Probably not the best way to say it but I'm a bit tired right now lol)
Also, how much time should someone wait until they "bump" their thread. In case someone wants to bump their thread so their trade thread/idea thread/help thread/whatever that needs to be seen by more people could be seen by...well more people.

I think that 24 hours is a reasonable ammount of time. If someone posts something helpful, artistic, or well thought out, and doesn't get any responses in a day, I think one bump is alright.

Well if our standard is "new or relevant", a post made a year after no one has posted isn't necessarily prohibited. Only posts that are worthless. So we could even be fascists here and say any post that is worthless is punishable (joke). That's why I think a week is a fair amount of time.
Can everyone bump their posts? I thought it was only mods?

24 hours is way too short imo. That's like saying everyone needs to post a constructive response if they post on a thread that has not been replied to in 24 hours. That would discourage people from posting. Sometimes I don't want to exactly say each and every sub idea in an idea that would be good or not and add on to that or something. I think it'd be putting too much pressure on people.

Oh I didn't see that! I agree, 24 hours is good. However if the staff doesn't really like it I think it should at the least be 48 hours. Threads can get pretty hidden in active forums quickly so people wouldn't notice them as much.
