Here are some of my ideas: (i'll add more soon!)
Name: Blade Type: Grass Appearance: Is a green cat that stands on it's hind legs. Looks somewhat like a Leafeon.
Name: Fearon Type: Fire and Dark Appearance: Is a black lion with a red mane and a tail with a flame on the tip.
Name: Bubblon Type: Water Appearance: Is a blue tiger with black stripes. It has a tail made of bubbles. Every other bubble is black. It has a big bubble on the end.
Those are my starters!

The one below is Bubblon. Uploaded with ImageShack.usAnd finally, this one is Blade. If you wanna see more of my Pokemon I invented, including these guys' evolved forms, post so. They look good! Here are a few tips: Don't make the first picture a profile pic (never have one side facing the paper). Do what you did for the other two, and have a more active pose that seems more 3D. Second, if these are the first evolutions, then they probably should be scaled back some. The first evos. are normally really small and cute, and they grow larger with each evolution. These looks like they could be the size of the second evolution. And to make them seem cuter, make the eyes larger relative to their heads.

more tips: I think you should add more elemental effects to them. Usually just from seeing the starters from the original game you can already guess which types they are. Feel free to add leafs, fins and flames.

I wasn't referring to the size on the page. Make shorter, thicker legs to make them seem smaller. I'll show you an example here in a minute. The height is the same, but the decrease in body length, and shortening of legs, makes the body much more compact. And I used open eyes to make the eyes take up a slightly bigger portion of the head, also making it look "cuter".
