i constantly change the pokemon for the best possible outcome.i had mankey(seismic toss) in the middle at all time to kill the geodude i use mainly butterfree(confusion), raticate(hyperfang) and pidgeotto(whirlwind)
for the other side i used charmeleon(ember) and Raichu(electro ball) to kill everything else. sometimes i might need to put radicate over to help out
your going to have to change the sides as fast as you can
at the end your going to have to constantly change your pidgeotto out from the left and right side. only let one whirlwind hit at a time to reach its max distance and take it off or change to the other side so the 2nd whirlwind doesn't waste the 1st one.

I kinda did the same thing as you, but in the middle i had nidoking using double kick. I had charmeleon using dragon rage and pidgeotto using whirlwind to kill the boss geodude. Lastly I had mankey using fury swipes, fearow using aerial ace, and clefable using double slap on the other side. I usually ended with 1 geodude up top left.

This was my setup and I beat it fairly easily, with all of them at level 20. Pikachu in the middle would start off with Thunder Wave on the Boss Geodudes then use 2-3 Tail Whips on them before switching back to Thundwe Wave. Mankey and Nidorino would both use Focus Energy then Mankey would use Karate Chop while Nidorino uses Double Kick. When the Boss Geodudes are past Mankey move Mankey above Nidorino. The group of Raticate, Butterfree, and Charmeleon will always be attacking the normal Pokemon. Raticate would be using Hyper Fang (could be substituted with Sucker Punch), Butterfree will always use Confusion, and Charmeleon would use Ember over Dragon Rage because it is a much faster attack. My strategy for switching their sides to ensure Nidorino and Mankey are always fighting Bosses goes like this. Mankey should be above Nidorino finishing off a Geodude when a wave starts so switch Charmeleon over into the bottom left slot. Next move Mankey into Charmeleon's old spot. After that move Butterfree to the top left slot and move Nidorino into Butterfree's old slot. Finally move Raticate into the only remaining slot on the left (Raticate and Butterfree do not need to be in any specific order just ensure they are on the same side).

I used Two mankey with Seismic toss, 18 and 17, Two beedrill with Rage and twin needle, Charmeleon with Ember, and Pikachu with Thunderwave in the middle. Depending on the waves you get this setup beat Mt. M without losing a single geodude. (caught my clefairy on this run as well ) and sometimes I just lose which is weird, its usually the speedy zubat.

I took advice from a comment on the blog and went with Charmeleon (Dragon Rage), Mankey (Karate Chop), Nidoking and Nidoqueen (Double Kick), Butterfree (Confusion) and Pidgeotto (Whirlwind AND Gust)
1X6 247 358
I placed Butterfree and Nidoking in 2 and 3, Nidoqueen in 4, Mankey and Charmeleon in 7 and 8. Pidgeotto was my character who I switched between 1 and 6. I would place it using whirlwind whenever a boss Geodude would pop up and after sending it away I would immediately switch it to the other side and set it to Gust. And the repeat once a new boss Geodude would pop up.

I used a Charmeleon (ember) in right side, a Raichu (thunder wave) there is the boss geodudes moving, a Butterfree (confusion) in middle, a Mankey (fury swipes) beside Raichu, a Fearow(fury attack) in the little enemies and Raticate (hyper fang) beside Fearow /sorry the meaningless writes, i'm from Hungary and I use a Google translator/

Used a Pidgey, a Pidgeotto, a Beedrill, a Mankey, a Raticate and an Ivysaur
Pidgey Pidgeotto Ivysaur Mankey Beedrill Raticate
The birds switched between Whirlwind and Quick Attack, Ivysaur switched between Razor Leaf and Take Down and the other three stayed with Seismic Toss, Twineedle and Quick Attack.

I beat it with Charmeleon, Butterfree, Raticate, and three Mankeys. On the the left was Charmeleon using dragon rage in the middle, Butterfree with confusion at the end, and Raticate with scary face up front. On the right, I used the focus energy+karate chop combo with the Mankeys, with the front one using leer(but switching between leer and karate chop once it lowered a boss Geodude's defense). Required a bit of micromanagement.

I got it done with a strategy on here that I think MisterSmith posted. It was with Pikachu, Mankey, Butterfree, Paras, Beedril, and Charmeleon. I think it was pure luck I got through it, honestly. Still, it was nice to have a challenging level compared to the others.

Why having so much layout changing in Mount Moon?
Just do the following:
On the left you use Raticate (Hyper Fang), then a Butterfree (Confusion) On the right you use Charmeleon (ember)*, then a Fearrow with aerial ace On the middle Mankey (Sysmic Toss),
Then on the top space just change the pidgeotto with whirwind from left to right according to the enemy geodude or "big waves".
* I used charmeleon but the point is to have a pokemon that have a "bleeding effect", I mean a recurring one, with ember the enemy can get burn and even if you don't atack, they will loose hp, so maybe Beedrill (Twineedle) can do the trick since my saved game went nuts I dunno the atacks of the other pokemons
Edit: all level 20
